Dark Souls Club Night, our First Event. 2nd November 2024

Our first event took place on Saturday 1^st November 2024 at Whitby Amateur Rowing Club, Church Street Whitby.  A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated prizes to the raffle, helped out and supported the event. We were overwhelmed by the response and have received lots of positive feedback. The event sold out before it took place, and we sadly had to turn away over 20 people as we were at full room capacity.

In attendance were Odette and Dena from The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, (thank you both for being there). They drew the winning raffle tickets for the great prizes which had been kindly donated to our event.

All proceeds from ticket sales and raffle tickets sold went to the charity and £1155.60 was raised and given to The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. A small selection of S.O.P.H.I.E merchandise was available at the event, including the limited edition purple with white bats S.O.P.H.I.E wristbands made exclusively for Whitby Goth Weekend 2024, and for Dark Souls.

DJ’s Abbi Stepz and Victor Helsing provided the music with some banging Goth, New Wave, EBM and punk tunes keeping the dance floor busy. (See our gallery).

Use was made of the venue’s video screen by the showing of clips of films, listing raffle prize donators and showing the winning ticket numbers. There were also images of Sophie and Sylvia Lancaster, the reason for our event.
